Wincmd Directory Menu Customizer Description
Wincmd Directory Menu Customizer (widimec) is a tool you can use only to customize the Directory Menu of Total Commander (previously know as Windows Commander). I've been using Total Commander (wincmd) for some years and I constantly keep the button bar, the Start menu and the Directory Menu up to date, since I use them all the time. The configuration window of the Directory Menu never has been very handy to work with (if you've got a lot of menu items), so I made widimec. Partly as a way of getting my knowledge of programming drag'n'drop of strings and node items brushed up a bit. Widimec has been tested with version 5.0, 4.53 and 4.54 of Total Commander only. Widimec should work with about every version of wincmd. To my knowledge the data format hasn't changed for some time, so widimec might be used with some of the previous versions also. But backup your wincmd.ini file before you use this application!! Widimec looks for the wincmd.ini file i 4 different places: In the registry (HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareGhislerTotal Commander) In the registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREGhislerTotal Commander) In the windows folder (whatever its name) In the command line parameter (if any).
